Professional Profile

During my career I have always striven to maintain a strong work ethic and strive to work within and expand upon the standards and processes provided to me by my employer. To accomplish this I always strive to be the employee that I would desire to hire. I have spent 12+ years in the drafting trade, in roles ranging from Intern to CAD Manager, Branch Manager, Designer and Quality Control. These roles have spanned across many different trades from Architectural, Engineering, Plumbing, Shop Drawings, to Product and Assembly drawings. I have been able to leverage the diversity of my drafting background to assist and benefit each Employment opportunity provided me.

Action Target inc., Full-Time

During my employ at Action Target, I have had the opportunity to serve in many different roles. I started my tenure at Action Target as a CAD Tec. and before two years had passed i had been charged with the role of Team Lead and made a Range Designer. I also had the opportunity to branch out into a non drafting area of the company, where I wrote (utilizing TCL scripting language script) and maintained “Packages” (a system that allows you to answer the min questions required about a product line, and the options you want, and it dynamically creates a specific bill of materials for you to order, allowing the sales / project management staff to get the materials / Bids needed, but not have count every part of the product individually.)

While at Pulte Building Systems, my duties ranged from drafting Shop drawings, drafting Plumbing Submittal Drawings, and coordinating and tracking Engineering repair memos. This required me to have the ability to understand and utilize Architectural, Engineering, Plumbing, and Truss Plans, to create the proper Shop drawings / Plumbing drawings.

Impact Drafting was my first experience in the CAD world. I was hired on as an intern and quickly grew to love the software and trade. While at Impact Drafting I had the ability to preform many roles culminating in opening and managing a branch of the company, performing all the drafting sales and marketing duties required to run a branch. We mainly drew custom homes (architectural style documents) and apartments.
